What happened to toys in cereal boxes?

Not that I miss kids sticking arms elbow deep into the box and scooping around until every single piece of cereal has been touched, but it was such a big deal to get the toy when I was a kid.

I did search for this topics but couldn’t find it. Sorry if it is a repeat.
