Any suggestions for a memorial scroll (details inside)?

My grandson, who died as a young baby, would have celebrated his 5th birthday later this month. It feels like such a significant anniversary, in NZ children start school aged 5, it is a very exciting time, birthday party etc. I decided to have a handwritten personalised scroll made to give to my daughter and son-in-law, not something that focuses on his death but rather celebrates his short life. There are lots of words I can use to describe him but I’m hoping also to have a few lines of poetry or prose and wonder if anyone can suggest anything. I don’t want anything religious, spiritual maybe but not religious, and nothing cliché, I’m not one for glib or flowery words. All suggestions would be very welcome.
