How often do you smile when you're in public situations?

Even though I’m a relatively happy person, it’s extremely difficult for me to smile in public, my smiles always feel forced. I try to think of funny jokes so I can crack a smile, but all it does is make me laugh, and it makes me look like I’m up to something nefarious.
