What can you tell me about Hyundai cars?

I don’t know much about Hyundais but since I’m in the market for a new car, I thought I’d get some details on the brand. Right now I’m pretty much set on a Honda Fit as it suits my needs and fits perfectly within my budget. However, I’m not opposed to other makes and models. I’m still exploring my options since it’ll be another month before I buy the car.

Have you ever driven a Hyundai? What’s your impression of them (as a driver and/or as someone who knows a fair deal about cars)?
