Would you give the same answer(s)?

If you had to use your real picture and name instead of an anonymous avatar and made up moniker? I read this article Good Question: Why Are There So Many Mean, Anonymous Commenters Online? that explores this very question. It chonicles as one example how author Ann Rice says “says the “anti-author gangsters” make her a victim of bullying.”

A study was done where it “found 53 percent of comments were uncivil in papers that allowed anonymity. That percentage dropped to 29 percent when newspapers required names or links to Facebook accounts.”

As an active member of 4 different social Q&A sites I know I see and experience this trend first hand. I also know some people will have 2 or more accounts so they can ask and answer questions they in real life may not be comfortable asking or answering. For those Jellies that are completely anonymous, would your answers be any different if you were logged on with your real self?? And for those who are more open about their identities here, would you be tempted to say things differently if your were totally anonymous?
