What's a close substitute for fattening ice cream ?

A friend of mine eats yogurt with fresh fruit. Would that be a good substitute for ice cream and, if so, what kind or brand of yogurt? I have no objection to eating yogurt with sugar in it IF it is much less fattening than ice cream.
Maybe I’m just dreaming.
