Has anyone ever left his old place of work(not been fired or leaving on bad terms)and returned there after some years?

I am not talking about fighting with the boss and leaving. Perhaps it was due to a move or a change or something that made you leave for a while and then go back again after some time. In short, have you ever knocked on the same door again? How was the return, did you notice changes?
