Are people who post portrait video trolling?

Asked by hominid (7357points) October 21st, 2014

Video taken in portrait is only possible in a world in which people have never had to watch a video taken in portrait.

At this point, shouldn’t Apple, Android, and Microsoft be disabling the cameras on their phones if people can’t be bothered to hold their phones correctly? Sure, Android phones complain when you attempt to take portrait video. But it really should disable the phone – or self-destruct/blow up – if people ignore the warning.

Since it’s highly unlikely that people who record these videos have never actually watched one of their videos, the only reasonable conclusion is that they are trolling for “I am going to punch you in the throat” reactions.
