Should I invest in applecare?

I’ve had a macbook pro for about 9 months, and since I’m approaching the end of the one year apple warranty, I’m considering buying applecare. Is this generally a worthwhile investment, or should I just skip it and trust that my computer won’t develop any non user-fixable issues? Thanks!
