Can I resume spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine one year after my diagnosis?

In late February I was diagnosed with multiple bleeding duodenal ulcers (I had no pain). My GP said I should take 3 iron pills per day until Christmas and not touch alcohol, citrus or caffeine. Is it safe for me to splurge at Christmas with a couple Margaritas and stop my iron pills? I’m terrified of doing the wrong thing after barely dodging a blood transfusion. TIA
