If you could play a character from a book that you've enjoyed, that was being made into a movie, what character would you choose to play?

I’ve read a lot of great books in the last year or so and whenever I’m reading a really good one, I can always picture in my mind exactly which actors/actresses I would like to see playing the characters in a movie version of the book.

Sometimes I think I would like to play some of the characters. I think it would be really fun. Not that anyone is ever going to ask me to act in a movie, but still…
