Have you ever written a really bad essay?

I am referring to those who did a Masters Degree. During your Masters or even PHD program, have you ever written a really bad essay or did really poorly on an assignment? Right now I am doing an assignment that is going to be submitted late and it is very poorly done. I feel really terrible and I am now trying to fix it the best way that I can but I feel like I am drowning and struggling effortlessly. Have you been where I am now?
