Do you think the world would be better without Religion?

I won’t respond to peoples statements, I just want to hear your opinions. I personally believe there is a God. However I don’t force my religion upon others nor do I judge others (I try my best not to judge others) no ones perfect. I treat everyone with respect no matter their race, gender, status or beliefs. As a Christian I often question many things about my Religion. I don’t really take the Bible literally since it has been rewritten many times. I have to admit Religion has been the cause of many issues and blood shed throughout history. One can argue that without it the world would be a less violent and judgmental place. One can also argue that Religion brings comfort and sense of peace, hope, & happiness to others. Without Religion many of the issues in the world today may not exist. However something else would take its place. As humans we always find a way to divide ourselves. Elements such as greed, power, racism, money, envy, territory, and hatred are also the cause of many problems we face today. A world without Religion may take away some problems but won’t element them all. What do you guys think?
