Can somebody help me remember a young adult 90's film?

My sister and I are trying to remember a film we both watched on VHS in the mid 90s. It has a team of boys late teens to early 20s who compete in a relay race or obstacle course. I want to say jeep or go-kart. Mostly set in a wooded area. A girl joins the team and they don’t think much of her to start. There is an accidental death, I think, on the obstacle course.
