Why do gay people live in North Carolina?

I would hate living someplace cold. Which is why I live in a place that’s never cold. So why do gay people live in a state like North Carolina, when they could live in West Hollywood and be as gay as they want?

I’m saying this as someone who lives a 10 minute walk away from boystown. The gays have it made here. Why don’t they just move?
