What does it mean when you hear someone whisper in your ear?

Hello. So I’ve been curious about this cause it literally happened to me about, I’d say, 15mins ago. No one was home, I turned off most of the lights in the house & in my room, still somewhatly bright out (basically the sun almost down so it looked a cool dark blue), my neighbors were finally quiet. An I was just laying in my bed, trying to take a breather, an right when I was about to close my eyes someone whispered my name.

In my right ear. No on is home but me. It sounded like a child’s voice whispering my name.

Do you think I was hearing stuff? Or could someone from the after life be trying to get in touch with me?

(I did look at other sources: some say it’s nothing, some say it deals with the subconscious, some say lack of sleep (but I don’t have any right now), and then on a spiritual level some say it could be something good (guardian or angel) or something bad (a succubus)
