Will 15K milligrams of cranberry (capsules) twice daily cure a UTI ?

I get one about three times a year. Last time the “nurse” told me if I get another one in that month I’ll have to have a colposcopy. No I won’t. I’ll just go to a GP and get Bactrim.
Anyway, will the above supplement cure it? I have light chills too.
