What were your first symptoms of a hemifacial spasm?

Hi All,
Eye twitching going on 6 weeks, not getting better, not getting worse.
Right eye, lower lid flickering. Other people don’t notice it but I sure as heck feel it.
My Mum has a hemifacial spasm, she’s not sure how – I’m thinking maybe I have it too?
I’m 41… she’s 60 – not sure if it’s hereditary but after 6 weeks of a constant twitch this is all I can believe it to be. Will head to Dr tomorrow though I’m sure without hassling them they will send me away.
Love to hear from those that have it what their earliest symptoms were?
My Mum doesn’t think it’s that so wont talk to me about it.

It doesn’t hurt, my eye doesn’t close, but I’ve noticed that my lip twitches sometimes too – right in the middle – I’ve had this on and off for a few years as well.
