Is Reddit losing its quailty?

Asked by LDRSHIP (1795points) October 23rd, 2017

My friend a few years back recommended Reddit to me and I check in fairly often now.

I’ve since gotten into a few subreddits that are more specific to my interests. I always thought of Reddit’s subreddits as a more “serious” place for knowledge and feedback for specific topics.

Lately it seems to be more opposite…Trolls, memes, jokes, off topic banter, derailing the thread or topic into something else etc.

It is disappointing as I’ve had great results before and gained insight but lately just not the case.
