Do the people that have been accused of sexual harassment get a pass?

I saw a news article where Matt Lauer “plans to disappear and play a lot of golf.” Won’t he, and others, get tried for these transgressions? I know a lot of the accused have lost their high paying jobs, but they have enough to live comfortably for years to come, if not for the rest of their lives.
