How should I interpret this (internship application response)?

Yesterday I emailed my portfolio and resume to some interior design firms; today, one of them emailed me back:
“Good Afternoon (my name),
We appreciate your interest in Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC and acknowledge receipt of your resume information. We review all candidates as we receive interest and evaluate against our internal needs.
We will be back in touch with you should your experience and portfolio align with those needs. Otherwise, we will keep your information on file for future needs.”

I already looked it up and saw that “we’ll keep your info on file” is often put in rejection letters, and that sometimes they have no actual intention of ever looking at a person’s stuff again… I guess I just want to know if this response is just a basic, soft rejection or is there some hope lol
