What have you avoided eating because it has been too hot to use the oven or stove?

It has been really hot here for about 3 weeks. Today is supposed to be the hottest day of the year.

Three weeks ago I wanted to make a cake for a friend who had done a big favor for me, but it was too hot : (

I ended up making him lunch, several homemade salads, and a sandwich and some iced tea and brought it to him. He was very pleased, but I really wanted to make a cake for him and his wife. I will still do that, but later.

What have you been wanting to make, but have avoided due to the heat?

On a side note, I had also been wanting to make some homemade chili, so I got up at 7:00 am, while it was still relatively cool, and cooked it, and put it in the fridge and had it for lunch. Using the stove at that hour wasn’t too bad, but I didn’t dare turn on the oven.
