Am I being too tough on the Baby Boomers?

I’m sort of wedged between Millenials and young Boomers
I confess I am critical of the Baby Boomers, but it’s nothing personal. I do it as sort of a sociological exercise.

Having said that, a friend said I was being too harsh when I made the following observations:

-They spent The Great Generation’s money and then used credit cards and the US Treasury to keep the party going
-In doing so they have condoned a level of individual and National debt that would have been regarded as immoral by their parents
-They preach conservation but are profligate consumers
-They believe in hippie/60s style personal freedom but judge/regulate those folks who don’t behave in a fashion they regard as proper
-They refuse to grow up and demonstrate this by their tendency to wear clothing that occasionally looks age inappropriate (in my opinion) and their pursuit of cosmetic surgery (which in my opinion never looks very good)

This is mitigated slightly by the music that they produced
Anyway, like I said it’s nothing personal but am I being too harsh?
