Is the migrant caravan a political ploy?

Obviously both parties are going to take advantage of the situation. What do you think is the best response to the migrant caravan? Trump is proposing cutting off aid to the countries they’re coming from.

Some on the right are now claiming that the Honduran migrant caravan is “fake news” in the sense that they are not actually walking here the way the media is claiming because in reality, it would take months to get from Honduras to the U.S. on foot, yet they will surely be at the U.S. border before election day. I guess we’ll find out!
