Back in the seventies I heard John Prine singing Hello in There and thought is was one of the saddest songs I had ever listened to and the lines “We lost Davy in the Korean War. I still don’t know what for; doesn’t matter any more” struck a chord somewhere deep inside.
Here, being almost fifty years older, it is even more poignant.
