Should I forgive someone regardless of what he has done to me as Christian?

Asked by duodokkans (9points) December 19th, 2018

Hi,

I used to be a non believer who recently became a Christian through my friend after he showed me the amazing way of Lord God and my savior Jesus Christ.

I have a question regarding a issue that happened to me recently. My former internship boss hired me as a intern, I was unpaid and worked everyday loyally from 9–5 there. Eventually one day, he decided to kick me because he had hired a co-worker with the money he made off me doing his jobs (I was a networking engineer). I still feel depressed about it and I want to kill myself everyday, cause I am without internship and if I won’t find a new one I will have to do my year over again.

According to the contract I read that he signed between him and school, he wasn’t allowed to kick me out and I now have the rights to put his company on a blacklist with companies that aren’t allowed to hire interns anymore throughout the whole country.

The problem is that I am Christian and according to the Bible ” For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”, I have to forgive him and I do, but I know that he is a very stubborn person and that he will keep on using people like this. What should I do about this and optional help for my current depression?

Thank you for reading this.
