Does having a messy, disorganized house cause you to be stressed?

I am just freaking out here. A few weeks ago I had my 18 year old grandson and his friend come over and bring down some furniture that we had stored in an upstairs bathroom. I’d been wanting to get rid of it but Rick wouldn’t let me. Finally he gave me the go ahead and my grandson brought it all down. Now I need some help getting the trailer emptied so I can load the stuff up and take it to a warehouse for a garage sale Habitat for Humanity has every year. But I can’t seem to get any help so I have all this shit lying around, getting in the way.
And last week we got Rick a 50” flat screen (what is with the size thing, guys?) and to have any place to put it is requiring some remodeling in my living room, which Rick started two nights ago, so there is a giant hole in the wall between the kitchen and the living room and there shit every where from THAT.
And I have 40,000 presents that need to be wrapped by tomorrow morning.
I’m really stressing out about this, getting short tempered and irritable. I can’t do it all by myself any more.

On the bright side, 4 of the grandkids will be here tomorrow, and I’m taking two end tables to the wife of one of my former jail students so I’ll get to see him again. And they have a million kids and 5 acres so we’ll visit a bit. I think the kids will like that.
