What kind of music takes hold of your whole being in a fuzzy and strangely pleasant way?

Music that you play….a song heard….a set of instruments maybe from a musical score?

I was born in 1968 but music by Italian composer named Armando Trovajoli and Francis Lai in the film “A Man and a Woman” for some reason have this really weird, strong, breathtakingly mesmerizing effect on me.
