Are you tired of the media making mountains out of mole hills?

Everything that comes across on the internet, TV or radio is like “The end of the world is nigh! Better prepare!” and absolutely nothing happens.
They’ve been make a huge deal out of this “major winter storm” that was supposed to hit last night. You’d think it was the coming of the next ice age.
I woke up, looking forward to piles and piles of snow, like what they had up north….and there was nothing. Just a dusting.

For the last 10 years, every spring, you would think Kansas is about to get wiped off the map by the storms…and they’re the same damn storms I’ve been through all my life! Maybe 1 per season is anything to even mention on Facebook. In the 20 years I’ve lived in this house, only 2 of those storms were worth contemplating hitting the cellar over.

Do you find the exaggeration annoying, and worse, could it be dangerous, like the Boy Who Cried Wolf? Nobody is even listening any more.
