Does anyone else find that when a pilot for a tv show is really great, the less likely it is you want to watch more of the series?

Some of the best shows I’ve seen in the past few years start out extremely strong (Everybody Hates Chris, Fresh Off The Boat, The Good Place) and don’t have a specific forumala. But then there’s a point where I get tired of seeing the same characters over and over again.

Shows like Taxi and Golden Girls on the other hand, have a certain formula that is more watchable. What are your thoughts?
