Did having children make you more sensitive to the things?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46849points) August 22nd, 2019

I came across this question from 2010 and thought I’d resurrect it.
Having kids meant I cried more easily over things.
Having kids in High School when the Columbine shooting took place shook me to the core in a way that it just wouldn’t have if I didn’t have kids.
I became more sensitive to violence on TV.
Because of my kids I found a love I couldn’t even dream of, and discovered a deep, abiding pain that is hard to bear.
My every perception changed, permanently. I don’t know if it was for the good or the bad, but it happened.

Did having kids change you?
