Can you admit when you are wrong about something?

Regardless of what it is, politics, religion, geography, to whatever, when without a doubt you are proved wrong can you admit it?
Or do you keep fighting till the other person is dead and buried.
I will admit at times it is very hard for me to admit it, what about you?
