How many people do you have in your life that you consider to be good friends?

Other than your spouse or significant other, or relatives, how many people in your life do you consider to be good friends? I was originally thinking of this question in terms of “best friends” but people may have several, so “best” is not really the most accurate term.

I’m talking about friends that know you well, and who, if you needed something, you could depend on them to try to help you out.
