What was the most practical gift anyone has ever given you?

A few years ago, a friend gave me a really practical gift that I use all the time. It’s a small bag, like a gym bag (maybe 2 feet x 1 foot x 1 foot) and in it, she put (all new) pajamas, tooth brush, tooth paste, contact lens cleaner, contact lens case, and a few other toiletries like deodorant. I have a pair of eyeglasses in there. If worse comes to worse I can throw the contact lenses away and wear the eyeglasses 24/7. I have underwear in there, too.

It’s to keep in the car for those times when maybe you get stuck somewhere and need to sleep over unexpectedly. I also use it for if I’m traveling and have my luggage but maybe forgot something, like a toothbrush or something to sleep in.

I change out the toiletry items from time to time, like the contact lens cleaner, that expires. If I wear something, like the pajamas, I’ll wash them and then put them back in the bag. It was such a thoughtful idea and a good idea. Every time I use it I think of her because the bag is really a life saver and has come in handy so many times.
