Birds stopped coming very abruptly to feeder with black sunflower seed. How can i be sure there is no virus or pox?

Used to consume full feeder weekly with great variety of birds all fall and winter. Let it run out in November for a week. Now only 1 fill in 2 months. How to test for bad seed or pox? Have not seen a single bird today.
