Do you have a trick for getting the last couple of squeezes out of a tube?

Toothpaste, hand cream, ointment, whatever: I hate to toss it when I know there’s a portion or two left, but it’s pretty hard to get out. (In the old days, when toothpaste came in lead tubes, you could squeeze them right down to the last dab…but no, let’s not bring back the lead.)

Do you have a way of getting the most out of a nearly empty plastic tube?
