What do you think of Trump's decision to end "racial sensitivity" training among federal employees?

Yes, this is another American question.

When race is brought up in any given instance, I often hear it stated that the purpose is to start a conversation about race. But do these conversations about race actually lead anywhere? Is focusing on race all the time a good thing, making race more visible and ensuring that we see people as members of a race first productive? If race is just a social construct, why is it so damn important in this country? We can’t move past racial divisions if we insist on bringing them up in every instance, even when they may not be relevant.

So what I’m asking is: is the kind of training that Trump is seeking to end productive? Does “critical race theory” help end systemic racism or does it only strengthen racial divisions in this country?
