Have you successfully retrieved money from a fraud claim you filed on your debit card?

Took me 8 months before I finally called Amazon to ask and clarify about a 6 bucks monthly recurring payment which shows up in my bank activity. I assumed it was payment to one of those movie channels Amazon have in their site. It was not.

Amazon informed me they’re not the ones making the charge and I would need to ask my bank to give me the Charge ID for these transactions before they can do anything about it.

My bank doesn’t know what a Charge ID is. They gave me an authorization code instead. I intend to call Amazon and see if this number would help.

What is frustrating is that Amazon was unable to prevent this. Someone piggybacking on their website taking 6 bucks from my account each month. My bank told me these hackers probably have my card number and hoping I won’t notice the monthly pilfered 6 bucks.

But this is what’s depressing, filing a fraud claim will take 10 days and my card had to be blocked which means I can’t use it anywhere. They can send me a replacement but at present I can’t afford to stop using this card, the only one I have.

I am working on albums on Amazon Photos and about to make a big purchase order soon. I told my bank to hold off on blocking the card.

Have you experienced something like this and if you did were you able to get your money back? Thank you.
