Feb. 6, 1952: anyone else here remember it?

I remember learning that King George had died and his young daughter Elizabeth was now queen. That was a major event in my family’s view of the world because my father was a Canadian citizen.

She’s now seventy years on the throne.

Of course an affirmative answer tells your age. I don’t bother to hide that I’m a senior. I was a preschooler at the time.
