Who is the author of the following book, given its description?

I found it on TVTropes, with title and description BUT not the author. It’s not the one by Guillefmo Martinez. Here’s the description:

Which you COULD see simply by the fact that the vain author “signed” it with his name inserted as acrostichon. The victim, a wordplay fan, saw that immediately and was murdered by the author to hide the fake.
