Do you have any plans for watching the eclipse on Monday?

News says hotels and lodging along the path of totality (TX to ME) are close to fully booked. They have anchor peoplel/newscasters staying along the path to report on Monday.

I got glasses for free at the local library. The glasses are from some official source so I am sure they’re fine. If you buy glasses somewhere like Amazon, make sure they’re really safe and just not knockoffs. I’ll be on my deck Monday afternoon, watching.

I remember the last eclipse in 2017, I was at work and everyone in the building went outside to look at the sun. It got dark for a few minutes. It was a really cool time, although brief. I worked in a city in NY and all of the buildings were emptied out and everyone was on the street, looking.
