Is there a wireless router you can use on Ubuntu (hardy 64bit) on a fresh install?

I might be able to access a wireless connection in order to update and install packages. Is there a wireless router that can be used on a fresh install with no extra updates? The only other connection option on this particular computer is a win-modem (Intel 536EP) that is not supported as far as I can tell.
