What do you give as a gift to a person who you don't know very well?

Both my brother and sister in law are coming to our house for Christmas this year. They both are bringing their new girlfriend/boyfriend, both of whom I do not know very well. I would like to get them a gift so they are not left out of the gift giving festivities. Any ideas as to what I should get them? My in laws have not given me any ideas :(
