Determine physical difference between DVD +R and -R?

I was in quick need of a DVD-R a few minutes ago, and I dug through my desk drawer and found three identical DVDs that are not labeled and are all white on top. I know they are DVDs because they are purple on the bottom. Is there any way I can determine wether these are +Rs or -Rs?
