What do you think about Sesame Street putting cookie monster on a diet?

I was watching Sesame Street the other day and Cookie Monster was eating carrots. I found out in 2005 Sesame Street decided to fight childhood obesity. Cookies are not not all Cookie Monster eats anymore. In fact he eats mostly raw vegetables and gets one or two cookies for an occasional treat nowadays. This is not the same Cookie Monster I grew up knowing. Eating cookies should be what a Cookie Monster does best. I personally like the old Cookie when he was a cookie junkie.
