Legal issues around mixtapes?

I’m thinking about making a weekly/monthly mixtape for my blog. Where I simply just put together 10 – 15 songs I’ve been circulating the last week/month.
Can I end up in trouble with record companies etc. with this?
Would it be less illegal if it was a podcast?
