What do I write in the 'Restore Point description' in the System Restore?

I lost all my music, documents and photos when I used Avast (incorrectly) to clear up a computer virus and I had to do a complete system recovery. It worked, but I want my files back. I’ve heard it’s possible. So, I did some research online and found a site that gave some instructions to follow, but now I’m stuck. It says the computer is supposed to go back to a specific time when it was working properly, but I don’t know what description to enter. I searched online and found nothing. Can someone/anyone help?
