Does Second Life need more system requirements than the Sims game?

I’m not sure about the quality of my Graphics card, but it was the same card that used to run The Sims 2 a couple of years ago when I was using Windows, and it wasn’t that bad at all. And I also have a 512kb connection (actually it never exceeds the download speed of 60kbs, but what can I say..??), and 512MBs of RAM.

(NOTE: I run a CrunchBang Linux now, and the Drivers for my Graphics Card are installed and working properly).
