Has Dr. House ever lost a patient?

Near as I can tell every single episode of House goes a little something like this:
1. Patient admitted with some odd and quite possibly deadly symptoms.
2. House and team misdiagnose patient a minimum of four times.
3. Dr. House has a brilliant epiphany that leads to the patient being save.
So, has he ever lost a patient? Does the plot ever change at all? Does the brilliant curmudgeon get on anyone else’s nerves?
