Where should I move?

Ok, seems my life took a major dump this past week. I’m seriously considering moving for an extended period (6mths-1year) to avoid the outrageous rents in Vancouver. So, where should I go? It should be:
– cheap cost of living
– relatively safe
– warmer climate preferred
– must have high speed Internet access
Any ideas? I was thinking is Costa Rica but it turns out to not be that much cheaper.
